Award winning sculptor, DJ Garrity, presents a traditional stone sculpting workshop using hand tools only. Students learn basic stone carving, three-dimensional technique and spatial context of art in the landscape. Take home a garden sculpture with the imprint of individual creativity. Included in fee is a 35-55 lb stone. Tools are provided during the workshop. Level: novice to student w/experience. Ages: 12-70+   Students are not required to lift stones in class. **  Meets Oregon state requirements for ongoing education for contractors.
